Please help! Discuss whether or not human activities lead to speciation. can you give a couple examples human activities that could lead to speciation or effect it? Or if you don't think they're any can you give some examples of that too please.

OpenStudy (zale101):

Speciation can be caused by human activities. People who in framing, city constructions, can have a big effect on speciation and that is by changing the natural habitat which can cause populations of the same species to get isolated from one another. For species to get isolated like that means the lack of interaction of the same species which can cause genetic exchange from species to some other different species. When certain locations are being newly constructed, species who had their habitat changed can no longer live in the same place anymore so they'll end up migrating they'll end up testing to new environment and adapt to it.

Thank you!! :)

OpenStudy (zale101):

No problem :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

One good example of speciation by humans is production of various dog/cow breeds by using `Artificial Selection`.
