Help with identifying transformations? 1 Identify a transformation of the function f(x) = --- x 1 by observing the equation of the function: g(x) = -------- x - 16 a. A horizontal shift 16 units to the left. b. A horizontla shift 16 units to the right. c. A veritcal shift 16 units downward. d. A veritcal shift 16 units upward.
\[f(x)=\frac{1}{6}\\ g(x)=\frac{1}{x-16}\]
How do you do that by the way? would help a lot with formatting my questions
the magic of \(\LaTeX\)
btw the answer is it is shifted 16 units to the RIGHT
i.e horizontal you can think of \(g(x)\) as \(f(x-16)\)
aw, I really don't think she's understanding these questions when you give it that easy the original function: http://hkpark.netholdings.co.kr/files/45/manual/107589/2853/1_x.jpg
