Choose the kind(s) of symmetry: point, line, plane, or none. You can choose more than one.

OpenStudy (igreen):

There are three types of symmetry. Reflection Symmetry, a.k.a Line Symmetry Rotational Symmetry and Point Symmetry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm just having difficulty finding a good example between the different types of symmetry. I know how to tell if something has line symmetry, but I have difficulties with the other types of symmetry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Igreen So A, B, C, 0, 8, has line symmetry right? Am I correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand plane and point though. :(

OpenStudy (igreen):

No..two of them don't..if you draw a line straight down from A, are both of the sides the same? |dw:1417610304852:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah wouldn't both of the sides be similar?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, you got it! They're just reflections of each other. What about the letter B?|dw:1417610434741:dw| Are the two sides the same?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No they don't. When I drew the line it wasn't straight down it was side to side. Does it have to be vertical? |dw:1417610559489:dw|
