OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Is each situation a linear or a nonlinear model?

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

@Loser66

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HW U DOIN

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Trey?

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

1 sec @Loser66 i gotta get this fixed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YEA

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Idk how to get rid of these ? marks

OpenStudy (loser66):

just hit F5 on your keyboard

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Okay 1 sec

1. The height of a ball when it is thrown into the air is shown by equation h = −16t2 + 20t + 3, where h is the height of the ball and t is time in seconds since the ball was released. 2. A salesperson’s monthly earnings are shown by the equation e = 1200 + 0.04s, where e represents the salesperson’s monthly earnings and s is her monthly sales. 3. The amount of a 500 g sample of a radioactive substance that remains over time is given by the equation , where d is the number of days since the sample weight was 500 g. 4. Mikaela’s distance from home as she drives at a constant rate is given by the equation d = 368 – 42t, where d is her distance from home and t is time in hours. A. linear model B. nonlinear model

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Oh thanks that worked do you know how to do this @Loser66 ?

OpenStudy (loser66):

when you see exponent in the equation ,like t^2 or x^2, then that is NOT linear.

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

So if it's squared it isn't linear?

OpenStudy (loser66):

yup

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

So 1 is non linear?

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

2,3 and 4 are linear? @Loser66

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no he is wrong
