can someone explain dividing with fractions to me please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, you have to flip the second fraction over, and multiply straight across.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Example: 1/3 x 2/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would flip 2/4, which would give you 4/2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So then you just multiply across. 1 x 4 = 4. 3 x 2 = 6.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be 4/6.
