While, the Egyptians depended on the Nile for transportation, water for their cattle, and more. Dead animals wouldn't make sense unless they all drowned, which I don't think its likely because they could get their cattle out in time and rivers don't flood that fast. If it dried out, there would be the sand and pebbles at the bottom, but that isn't the case. It is flooding in the question here, so I think it would be C.
