When you look on store shelves, you will see many rectangular prism and cylinder-shaped packages. Why do you think the use of triangular prism, pyramid, and cone-shaped packages is so rare?

They take up more space, pyramidal or cone-shaped packing isn't as cost-effective. And a pyramid or cone(anything pointy for that matter) isn't a very good shape for stacking things.
