OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

I am starting to write a book on wattpad, so if you guys want to check it out, that would be amazing! I only have the prologue and 2 chapters up so far. :D It is called Forever Loved and it is indeed a werewolf story. :D Thanks guys! And don't forget, you guys can follow me on wattpad :) HaleyElizabeth2017 For those of you that do not have Wattpad, here it is in google docs. I will try to update it as soon as I can :) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rGvIktGrjwl1H-hzFmwAnHX5K0MhLjl3POBVbJS_rA0/edit

Seems great c:

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Thank you! I'm still working on writing/editing it....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No... just no.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

? @Andyed52

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Another werewolf story / love story on Wattpad... So original.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

I'm sorry I didn't feel like writing something else. I feel like stories about werewolves keep the readers attention longer and they are more interesting. I don't like regular 'love' stories.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think you took my point the right way. Werewolf is fine, love story is fine. But for a book to succeed it has to have some originality, a niche....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And that Niche appeal has to be immediate, it has to be discovered by the reader within the first 3 pages, otherwise you might not hook them.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

I know, I'm not going to make it like the others.....there might be something different on how werewolves evolved....I'm not sure yet...

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

I'm sorry. I didn't mean it to sound like that.......But I read a ton of werewolf books that 'hook' me in even though they still have some of the same stuff in them.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right, but now all your doing is appealing to the people who read and liked other werewolf books.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

yep, I'm just not sure what else to do because this is the first time I have ever written a book.....I'm so much better at reading books than writing 'em...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I saw the words love story and werewolf, and instantly I knew I didn't want to read it.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

I know there are some people that do that, but some others don't do that.....

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

I'm just not sure what to do anymore :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you have to do is not mention that its a love story or that is about werewolves, let the reader come to that conclusion on their own.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ex. What If 100 pages in the reader realizes that the main character is the only human left who isn't a werewolf. What if those 100 pages the reader read, not once did it outright say werewolf.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You ever watch a zombie movie... and they never once call them zombies? and they have to discover on their own that the hit to the brain is what kills them? Like they never once had seen or heard of zombies? That's how you have to write it. Like you and the reader have never heard of werewolves, and that this isnt a "werewolf" book its a book about a character who can morph into a beast like creature with psychopathic and cannibalistic tendencies.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

Okay.....but that would mean I have to change the title as well........I'm confused on what you are saying....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the reader wants to call them werewolves in their mind, let them. but don't say in your book that this is a werewolf, describe the creature the character turns into, but never deem it something.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

I don't watch zombie movies.....the only one I have seen is World War Z, but I didn't really pay attention to it....

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

I might just write a whole new book like that......
