Help with a discussion please? I really need ideas! Prompt: Look for an image of a building that you think incorporates characteristics of Classical, Gothic, or Renaissance architecture. Copy and paste the image or a link to the image into the discussion thread, and explain how you believe the building you chose has Classical, Gothic, or Renaissance characteristics. Cite specific features, such as the use of columns, arches, flying buttresses, and so on. Decide which architectural style you prefer, and explain why. I'm not asking for answers, just ideas. Thanks. :)
Have you ever heard of the "Gothic Revival"?
It was a movement started in England around the 1740's. Many buildings were erected using the gothic style. If you look up "Collegiate Gothic" you'll find tons of school buildings that have the gothic arch ect ect.
Personally I would use Princeton University in New Jersey.
Okay, thank you! :)
Yep! I hope you do well in your discussion!
