in other words, change in distance divided by change in time

can you figure out the slope (change in y / change in x)

loo at the graph
since it travels 120 miles in 2 hours 120/2=60
the speed is 60 mph

look at the time.....go to 1 hr....follow it up till it reaches the line and it lands on 60 miles...which is 60 mph
