OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
notice the slope = rise/run
the cost, is over the y-axis, thus the RISE
and the minutes over the x-axis, thus the RUN
for every 0.10 in rise there's 1 in run

OpenStudy (acxbox22):
the equation is y=0.1x+20
y intercept is 20 and slope is 0.1
when we look at the graph thr price for 10 minutes is $21 because
y=0.1(10)+20
y=1+20
y=21
so look at the graph where the line intersects the points (0,20) and (1,21)
OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
also notice the starting cost
her plan charges right off the start, $20
so before she even uses 1minute, she has to pay $20
or
at 0 minutes, x =0, y = 20 <--- y-intercept
OpenStudy (anonymous):
x or y ? @acxbox22 @jdoe0001
OpenStudy (acxbox22):
there are 2 more options below you know
OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
so... with that info
what's the slope? what's the y-intercept?
then get the equation, and plot away

i think y or x
OpenStudy (acxbox22):
graph y is right because the lines intersect the points listed above :)
