Wel....Wgener thought that rock formations on different continents looked very similar. He thought that the shape of the continents would fit together. However, he couldn't find any evidence as to how the continents could move across the ocean floor.

Yap! I concur with Balala, because after Wegener couldn't prove this, the theory of Plate Tectonics was born.
