Since EDG was bisected, that means angle EDF and angle FDG are equal. They both also have the 90 degree angle. So that's 2 angles that are the same, meaning the 3rd is also the same, as it must equal 180. This makes the triangles similar, meaning that the lengths of the sides must be the same. This means that EF = FG n + 9 = 4n - 6 Solve this equation for n, then plug that value into FG

Once you solve that you get n=5. Plug that back into one of the equations and you get 14, the right answer.
