OpenStudy (alif):

I did not quite understand your question. I assume you are inferring about the function of the peripheral nervous system. The peripheral nervous system also referred to as the PNS, consists of the ganglia and nerves that are outside of the spinal cord and brain. Its main function is however, to connect the central nervous system to the organs and limbs. It consists of two major systems. The autonomic nervous system and the somatic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system also known as ANS functions involuntary, it regulates the functions of many of the bodies internal organs such as the stomach and heart. The somatic nervous system contains peripheral nerves that are motor and send info to skeletal muscles and nerves that are sensory and send info to the central nervous system. I did not quite understand what you meant by the second division?
