what distinguishes a eukaryotic cell from a prokaryotic cell is the presence of?

The nucleus and all membrane organelles.

the nucleus is absent, but we find nucleoid- which is a single bacterial DNA molecule and other organelles like mitochondria is absent..and thylakoids are freely present which perform the function of chloroplast...they have chlorophyll a and b and have reserve food material starch which is completely different from the eukaryote starch..!!
