If a line with a slope of -2 crosses the y-axis at (0,3) what is the equation of the line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What form do they want the equation in? slope intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If they want slope intercept, It is y=mx+b. m being the slope, b is the Y intercept, and x is just x, there is nothing substituted. so its a matter of substituting numbers. -2 is the slope you y=-2x, and 3 is your Y intercept. so your equation in slope intercept form is y=-2x+3
