In a plant, the leaves allow gases to be exchanged. Which structure in the human body is similar in function to leaves? A. the pancreas B. the urethra C. the alveoli D. the nerves @hemmoji
Okay...so think of this as the plant breathing...Do you know what system is responsible for that in human bodies?
Idk d
Okay, its the respiratory system. The respiratory system is basically the lungs. Its the lungs, trachea, and a whole bunch of other parts that allow for us to breathe. The alveoli is part of the respiratory system, and quite essential. The alveoli is basically like this little hollow thingy attached to the bronchi. They allow for our body to release carbon dioxide and breathe in oxygen. These thingies look like little balloons and they inflate and yeah..They look kinda weird lmao.
But their main responsibility is the whole releasing carbon dioxide and breathing in oxygen which in other words, is "an exchanging of gases"...
