Show all steps to simplify each of the following rational expressions: 3/y+4-2/y Can somebody please walk me through this with steps because I Want to know how to do it. Ill give medals!!
can you use the "draw" and rewrite please not very clear the way you have it
\[\frac{ 3 }{ y+4 }-\frac{ 2 }{ y }\]
sorry about that @triciaal
remember subtraction of fractions ?
the lowest common denominator of (y + 4) and y lets use y(y+4) multiply every term by this find the equivalent fraction since the denominator is the same simplify the numerator
wasnt that where you subtracted straight across if the bottom numbers were the same? sorry if im wrong, ive been out of this kind of math for a while
okay let me try that
exactly
