Well, it wants you to solve the equation (duh, lol) and to write any irrational numbers that are in it into the simplest radical form. And then you tell them ho you got it and what strategy you used (if what you did has a name, ex. the mathematical balloon method) and why you chose the strategy, aka method. :)
