Half of RS would be the answer, since rs is a side, and XY would be the radius

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

oh okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually wait i read what wrong

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dop you know how to use the Pythagorean therom?

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Isn't it a^2 + b^2 = c^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. so lets form a triangle with that base. XY and YT would equal three for the both of them since they are half the side. so they would be a and b. so solve for c^2

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

it would be 3^2 + 3^2 which would equal 18 right or no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup so now is there an answer close to the square root of 18? PS it would be between 4 and five

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

you mean it would be between as in pick between the two or like actually between the numbers 4 and 5 like 4.5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it mulitple choice?

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

It's a written response. looks like this
