3 – 7x + 2x when x = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so use the PEMDAS (Perenthisys, Exponits, multiply, divide, Add, and subtract) you will want to take 3-7(3)+2(3) and solve by doing it in order. So multiplying would come first. So multiply 7*3 and then 2*3 and put them where the question marks are and then you would get 3-?+?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3-21+6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep! So then add 21 +6 and then subtract it from 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3-?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then you will have your answer :)

-22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be -24 i believe
