Using the graph of f(x)=x^2 as a guide, describe the transformations, and then graph the function g(x)=-8x^2

Well, do you know how f(x) = x^2 looks like?

Do me a favour, if you don't know make a table of values, put random numbers and see what shape you get.|dw:1417735265039:dw| fill in the rest then graph it. Once you do that we'll continue but in general for your g(x)=-8x^2 graph the negative sign represents a reflection, meaning the graph will flip, and the 8x^2, in other terms if you have a>1 f(x) = ax^2 will have a vertical scaling (stretch) in your case by a factor of 8.
