Various transformation help??? Check my answer? State the various transformations applied to the base function f(x) = x^2 to obtain a graph of the function g(x) = - (2x)^2 - 1 (A) A horizontal compression by a factor of 1/2, a reflection about the x-axis, and a vertical shift downward of 1 unit. (B) A horizontal compression by a factor of 1/2, a reflection about the x-axis, and a vertical shift upward of 1 unit. (C) A horizontal compression by a factor of 2, a reflection about the x-axis, and a vertical shift downward of 1 unit. (D) A horizontal compression by a factor of 1/2, a reflection about the x-axis, and a vertical shift downward of 1 unit.
