two particles are in SHM in parallel straight lines close to each other. Amplitude A and time period T of both the particles are equal. At t=0, one particle is at displacement y1=+A and other at y2=-A/2 and they are approaching toeards each other, after what time they will cross each other?

OpenStudy (dan815):

SHM is spring motion do u know how spring motion is described

OpenStudy (dan815):

the further away from the point of equlibrium which is where the spring is at rest, the more force or acceleration it experiences toward the equlibrium point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea i know What SHM is. Have practiced 70-80 question got stuck on this particular question for about a day.

OpenStudy (dan815):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

acceleration is directly proportional to displacement about mean position i know.

OpenStudy (dan815):

okay draw a picture of these 2 springs

OpenStudy (dan815):

or the graph of the solution to both springs first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know about graphs and springs but i can certainly draw diagram describing their motion.
