What is an example of a sentence fragment
Is there answer choices or do you literally need a sentence fragment ?...
...
A. The fairgrounds close at ten o'clock, shortly after the fireworks display. B. Barnyard animals wandered about in a pen at the petting zoo. C. The feel of the baby chick in my hands. D. Baby chicks, born with pale yellow down, chirped and scurried about. Because I not good at this type of stuff

So sentence fragments are groups of words that look like sentences, but aren't. To be a sentence, groups of words need to have at least one independent clause. An independent clause is any group of words that contains both a subject and a verb and can stand on its own. With that being said just read ALL the sentences aloud and pick out TWO (or one...) that you think DOESN'T sound like a complete sentence... I if you pick the right one (which I will let you know if you do) then you will have ur answer ^_^

well to help you out we can go head and elimanate A and D... Because they BOTH have independent clauses so there for the are a COMPLETE sentence. Then we are left with B and C. So read B and C and tell me which ones sounds like more of a sentence someone would say.
