OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

Ok basically the first thing you need to do is add 1/4 with -1/4, so what would that give you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont think it's -1/4 it's 1/4 but X - 1/4 (X) is a number

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

yes exactly but with the way it is stated, adding a negative and subtracting are the same thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.5 is what i got for 1/4 plus 1/4

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

you don't add them together, one is positive and one is negative, 1/4-1/4=0 so you are only left with x= 3/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

no problem(:
