Start with your list of words. Make two columns on a page. The word list down one column. For each word look for some evidence of that thing or idea in the painting. Write down your evidence(s) opposite the word in the second column. For example, for artisan might write shoemaker, weaver, stone cutter (the building), wood worker (the cabinets), tailor (the clothes) Do the same thing for each word in the first list. You will find that many of the things will appear more than once in the second column. For example, shoemaker might appear in merchant, guild and middle class
