1 dimension is a line (it's dimension is height, or length, whatever you want to call it, but it has 1 Dimension.) 2 dimensions is a flat surface. it has length and width. (can be a circle, triangle, whatever you want). 3 D is a volume containing shapes like cylinder or cube. knowing 3D, 2D and 1D, reduce the length... make it a dot, that doesn';t even Have a length.
