when you have a number and square root in front of it, is the same thing as multiplying the square root times the number. you are welcome. This is the same when you have, \[3\left| x+2 \right|\] that also, means \[3~\times~ (~\left| x+2 \right|~)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you welcome....
