Hey can someone please help me I need to do it fast Medal and Fan! -How did the location of Rome help protect it from invaders? Specific questions to answer: 1. Rome was located 14 miles from the coast, how did this help them stay safe? 2. Rome stood on a plateau, how was this a geographical advantage for them? 3. Rome’s main river is the Tiber. How does the Tiber river help the Romans? 4. Rome was surrounded by the Apennine Mountains in the north/south of the peninsula, and also had the Alps in the far north. How did these mountains help protect the Romans.
@lindseytrail @alexaaraye @mariajjp @anicheese @bigdave2u70 @taygum @Isaiah_Pritchett can you please help me? I just put some random names on but If you help me I will try to help you!
1. Since they were 14 miles from the coast it protected them from invaders a bit more. If they were right next to the coast they would be in greater danger and at a disadvantage because invaders could just boat over there to them.
Thanks @anicheese
what was you question?
I already figured my question out and 2. Since Rome was on a plateau I would guess it also( kind of) protected them from enemies. They were at a disadvantage because they didnt have access to certain crops because they were up on a plateau, so they had to rely on goats milk, olives and other crops.
thanks
#3 the Tiber River was a great help to them because they could easily transport goods, and go places. Also, they had a disadvantage because the river frequently flooded. Also, the water was not drinkable so they got their from wells.
#4 It was very difficult for people/invaders to travel these mountains.
thanks so much!
