Taryn conducted a science experiment on saturation. She added sugar to a sugar-water solution at different intervals. The graph shows how much sugar was in the solution at different times. Complete the equation that represents Taryn’s situation. y = x + First quadrant grid, x-axis numbered 0 to 14 and labeled Minutes, y-axis numbered 0 to 8 and labeled Tablespoons. A line with positive slope intersects the y-axis at 1.

"Complete the equation that represents Taryn’s situation. y = __A__ x + __B__ " You have two numbers to fill in, A and B. A is called the slope. It can be found by the formula A=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) where (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are any two distinct points on the line. For example, if you examine the graph, (x1,y1) could be (0,1) which is on the line. After you've found A, then put (x1,y1) and A into the equation and solve for B. For example, using A (that you will find) and (0,1), we get 1=A(0)+B from which we can solve for B.
