can someone check my answer? what is the simplified form of 12z^2+25z+12 over 3z^2-2z-8? i chose 4z + 3 over z+2 the other answer options were 4z - 3 over z + 2 4z + 3 over z - 2 4z - 3 over z - 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you are right

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you may want to to check the denominator factorization...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

as I think your solution is incorrect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i looked over it again and got 4z - 3 over z + 2

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so what was the common factor you removed...?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well now I think your denominator and numerator are incorrect

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

here is the correct factorization \[\frac{(4z +3)(3z + 4)}{(z -2)(3z +4)}\] what are yyou left with after removing the common factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4z + 3 over z - 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for your help! is there anyway you could help me with one more problem?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

hope it helps

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

if you post the question in the normal way I'll look at it

OpenStudy (anonymous):
