Say your friends amount of money = y dollars. your dollars are x dollars. YOU have HALF the amount he does (y)
So you can rule out the first option.
and the last option, because that would be saying you have twice the amount he does,
y amount is with your friend and you have half (1/2) of what he have. so whats the total amount you have
y divided by 2?
