Anytime anything is inbetween the absolute value lines, then it is always positive. Absolute value is the distance on the number line from 0. If we want to find |3|, then we figure out how many units away 3 is from 0 on the number line. If we want to find out |5|, then we count how many units -5 is from 0, which means it will be positive.|dw:1417814363966:dw|
