Okay, I haven't been paying any attention in my class, because I have diagnosed but untreated ADHD. I am completely clueless and my teacher doesn't want to help me because I was not paying attention before. Would anyone be interested in tutoring me over Email? I need help learning how to figure out an elements configuration, how to name them, and things like that. Please help?
First off I'm sure you have notes from class, so I recommend using those as the guide to finding extra help online. elements configuration I assume you mean electron configuration of elements? There are videos on all this stuff except maybe naming on this website https://www.khanacademy.org/science/chemistry For naming I would recommend you memorize the strong acids and bases http://www.chemistry.pomona.edu/chemistry/1alab/www/fall2006/powerptpresentations/5anions/acidbaset.htm For general naming I recommend checking this site out, it provides a set of rules you need to memorize. http://chemwiki.ucdavis.edu/Physical_Chemistry/Quantum_Mechanics/09._The_Hydrogen_Atom/Atomic_Theory/Chemical_Compounds/Nomenclature_of_Inorganic_Compounds Elementary chemistry is a lot of memorization but once you get past that it becomes a lot of fun. Also, remember you are learning how to manipulate the fundamental building blocks of everything, so try not to get too bummed out about having to memorize all this stuff.
