a^3-b^3=(a-b)(a^2+ab+b^2) That's the formula your gonna use for the difference of cubes. So to get A and B, write out the cubes a^3=1/8x^3 a^2=1/4x^2 a=1/2x For B: b^3=-1/27y^3 b^2=1/9y^2 b=1/3y
Plug it into the formula now for (1/2x-1/3y)(1/4x^2+1/6xy+1/9y^2)
8 can be written as 2^3 and 27 can be written as 3^3
