Well, a lot of carbon emissions have been let out in the past few years or so, thus forming holes in the ozone layer that is meant to protect the Earth from harmful UV rays, and as a result, it warms the planet more because the Sun is the one that provides heat. Global warming could also be caused by human activity because we too do stuff like drive cars that emit CO2 into the air. And since CO2 can actually trap heat (because greenhouse effect) it also could be the problem.

At a press conference yesterday NASA announced that 2005 was the hottest year on record. It is so hot, and global warming is so bad, if the presidential election were held today, Al Gore would still lose.

This is just the earths natural cycle! Were in the time where the earth is changing. People don't get that. What were experiencing is the opposite of an ice age. Polar caps are melting because of the atmosphere. That is all you have against me. But lets bring this back a couple million years ago. Earth didn't have an atmosphere! We didn't have any of these thing we have now. The earth was just on rock with a bunch of carbon dioxide and hydrogen. You people with the whole global warming nonsense say that carbon dioxide and hydrogen is destroying the atmosphere and is going to destroy the environment. But what about 200 million years ago, the earth was nothing but volcanic eruptions and toxic gasses that were the atmosphere, and look where we are now. If it happened back then, what make's right now any different? People just need to wait for the earth to fix itself. I will explain this later on, below.

Polar ice caps are melting, yes but what do you prefer? The earth to freeze and all of us to into another ice age? Kill most of our sea life?? No! You don't want another ice age. But you know what, that's what is coming next. It going to be another precession of equinox. The earth is changing so dramatically and you fools don't want to accept it. Scientist try to blame everything but the truth. The earth might not be in its finale days. But we are going to experience some dramatic changes. The last ice age was some 500+ years ago. We are just now feeling the effects of the earth becoming hotter again. You global warming people say cars and our factories are destroying the atmosphere, that is about 5% of the truth! Earth temperatures started rising before 1940 so you cant say that cars are an issue. Also when you breathe your are releasing carbon dioxide, so what do you liars expect me to do hold my breathe??

NASA reports because of Solar Flares the Sun is the hottest it has been in over 100 years. There are no cars on the sun!!!! Who are you global warming people going to blame this time? The government??? Global warming is just a big fat lie you. If someone told you that OpenStudy is trafficking drugs, would you believe them?? No you wouldn't because there just saying that with no evidence.

Just like before the earth has to undergo it natural cycle of life;

1.)Were going to have a big heat wave, then a lot of people are going to die.

2.) It going to rain so much that boats will be the new car.

3.) Well, you might want to buy a jacket..... or a couple.... or maybe a lot to last you an ice age.

Heat wave: The effects of the last ice age are just going away so the earth is going to of course heat back up.

Floods: I never said floods xD But the polar ice caps cause the sea to rise and that a good thing.

Ice age: we are due for another precession of equinox. The earth is title is changing slightly every decade and I predict that within the next 250 years there will be another ice age.

Changes in temperature are only natural! After our last miny ice age, the world began to slowly warm up. People are not realizing that after a certain amount of time the effects of the ice age will begin to wear off, and that exactly what we are seeing here! The Polar capes that are melting are from the ice age. It's getting hotter because of the suns recent solar flares. That's nothing we can control, and nothing we caused.

The weather is always random, and what is causing that has nothing to do with us. This is caused by water vapor that are leaking out of hot springs and such . The water vapor is getting mixed with the carbon dioxide from the volcanic smoke. So the water vapor causes more storms while the carbon dioxides from the earth eat at the Ozone and cause acid rain.

The one thing that the earth is always going threw is change.

yes, it's real. and yes, we contribute to the rapid heating of the earth. it's a fact that we produce carbon dioxide from burning coal, car exhaust, etc. more people in the world means more people driving cars, and more energy that is required to maintain our lifestyle of "luxury." this graph shows the relationship between the amount of carbon and the average global temperature over time.

What most people don't know is that The United Nations left out two statements that were supposed to be in the final draft of a paper on Global Warming;

1) “None of the studies cited above has shown clear evidence that we can attribute the observed climate changes to increases in greenhouse gases.”

Ways to stop producing carbon dioxide

Stop breathing - When you exhale you release carbon dioxide

Dont drive - We all know how bad driving is

Don't live in a house/apartment/condo or any building that uses gas or electricity - Homes produce 2-3 times as much carbon as cars.

Don't wear shoes or any sort of clothing produced in a factory. Grow a cotton field and make your own clothes by hand.

Quit school - Those school buildings produce more carbon in a year then you do in 20 years.

Eat meat raw - Whether you're using gas or electric both produce carbon dioxide.

Turn off this monitor and computer - You hypocrite.

Don't use toilets, urinate or poo in your back yard.- The water to your house is cleaned and sent to your house using pumps that use electricity.

Stop exercising - Increasing your heart rate increases the amount of oxygen you take in and turn into carbon dioxide.

Die - Dying younger means you will do all of the above less. Living one year less means you will save the earth 8.4 tons of carbon dioxide every year you're not here!

@joel_the_boss its not only because of the suns flares. do you know what is exactly greenhouse effect which is the major cause of global warming? see your point is right, over time change is evident...but in normal case..the melting of ice and other factors that are changing were supposed to happen very very slowly and gradually. the speed of change that occurs normally is very slow. but we humans, because of our practices and way of living have hastened the process of the change. as the amount of co2 co and other gases increases in the atmosphere, the rate of this ice melting and warming up has increased many folds.

if you see the normal stats of any species, a species reaches the level of carrying capacity and then the environment cannot support the growth of that species so the population drops down. this is the same in our case, just that we have gone way beyond the carrying capacity and have reached that point at a very faster rate than normal. i think we would also be facing a mass extinction soon with survival of the fittest and then in a few million years a new and better species would evolve and inhabitat the earth. and probably the environmental conditions required for that species would be totally diferent from what we need right now. this is my thought, havent actually researched a lot about this.
