Newton the cat is walking along a tightrope 25 feet in the air suspended between two poles that are 80 feet apart. Newton is illuminated by a spotlight 75 feet above the tightrope and the cat wears a harness that it attached by an elastic line to the same position as the spotlight. See the figure to the right.
