PLEASE HELP!!! >.< A triangle has one side that measures 3 ft, one side that measures 7 ft, and one side that measures 8 ft. What kind of triangle is it?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Scalene Triangle. They have 3 different lengths.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

scalene

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

well, you can check . it is certainly not a right triangle, because \(\large\color{black}{ 3^2+7^2\ne 8^2 }\) \(\large\color{black}{ 9+49\ne 64 }\) \(\large\color{black}{ 54\ne 64 }\) right? So, it can't be a right \(\large\color{black}{ \triangle }\). It has 2 very big sides and a one small side. like|dw:1417979125672:dw|
