Why do all cells have a nucleus
Not all cells have a nucleus.
@chaseriley Can you provide more details?
matured erythrocytes do not have nucleus
@nincompoop Depends on the species, and all of Bacteria and Archaea lack nucleus.
I think you mean prokaryotes?
@abb0t No. They are in separate domains and I was using the domain name, not the polyphly of prokaryotes.
Whatever. Who cares.
@abb0t Anyone that is in a Intro Bio or Microbio course.
@nincompoop are yo in intro bio or Microbio?
I didn't say that only erythrocytes do not have nucleus
this is the question chaseriley Why do all cells have a nucleus all I need to do is provide a case when it will be false by citing one example.
@nincompoop I was just clarifying for the OP that lack of nuclei in erythrocytes is not universal.
I said MATURED erythrocyte please do not insult my intelligence
@nincompoop I did not know I was insulting your intelligence. Also, mature erythrocytes in frogs do have a nuclei.
*nucleus
a simple question requires a simple answer. I don't know why this foo is trynna come at me, a board certified M.D.
you are correct amphibians share this characteristic of having nucleus in erythrocytes
I should have been more careful to point out that I was referring to most mammals
@nincompoop We can't remember and say everything we always want to. @abb0t I don't get your comment about some one "come at" you. I don't see anyone doing so. Also, it may not be a simple question. If the OP is in high school or middle school, the answer the teacher wants could very well be something about all cells needing DNA to be protected from harm. If it is a university class, the answer could very well be that not all cells have a nucleus.
You're not the doctor here.
@abb0t OK?
