What does the slope mean for this situation?
nothing
I'm bringing it up. Hold on
Ashley is the manager of a theater. She has $240 to spend on posters to advertise a new play. Ashley can spend exactly $240 to print 48 small posters. She can also spend exactly $240 to print 30 larger posters. Write an equation that can be used to find all combinations of small posters (x) and large posters (y) that will cost exactly $240. I got 240 = 5x + 8y, and the slope is -5/8
With that said, my new equation is y = -5/8x + 30
Does the slope represent the cost of the posters? You know what, I'm closing this question. If I get it wrong, I just get it wrong.
I'm trying to answer your question but the website keeps glitching...
give me a sec

Ok so the slope represents the ratio of the number of large posters to the number of small posters that can be purchased such that the constraint is met (in this case such that the total purchase is 240$
