Can someone walk me through: 6^2x=3 square root of 36 'solve for x'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[6^2x= 3 \sqrt36 \] \[36x=18\] \[x=1/2\]

So, you would find what 6 squared is equal to, and set that equal to 3 square root 36. After doing that, find out what the square root of 36 is, which is 6, and multiply that by 3 to get 18. Now you have 36x=18. All you need to do is divide both sides by 36 to isolate x. After doing so, and simplifying, you are left with 1/2. Cheers!

no, I apologize; I meant 6^(2x)=3 square root of 36
