Please help! I'm terrible with fractions. What is the solution to the equation? 2 over 3 multiplied by x plus 8 over 3 equals 2 to the power of x

@Hero @Abhisar @Directrix @ganeshie8 @hartnn @ParthKohli Please help guys!

In order to find all solutions you actually need to use a calculator. You want to graph y = (2/3)x + 8/3 and y = 2^x Then find where they intersect. Are you familiar with how to do that?

Miracrown (miracrown):

You can't solve algebraically for x = because you have x^n and an exponential 2^x

Miracrown (miracrown):

So you have to solve graphically

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh so I have to graph and find the value for x?

Miracrown (miracrown):

Yerp! There should be 2

Miracrown (miracrown):

y = (2/3)x + 8/3 intersects y = 2^x twice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x = 2 ?

Miracrown (miracrown):

Yes! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay!!

Miracrown (miracrown):

That's one solution. There should be one more solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:o

Miracrown (miracrown):

So your graph is like this:
