Which of the following statements is correct about the two systems of equations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (blacksteel):

It is a fact that If you can create a system of equations by adding multiples of the equations in another system together, the two systems will give you the same values for x and y. Knowing this, are either of the first two statements true?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes because they have the same solutions?

Directrix (directrix):

@ImpossiblePossibility The systems have the same solution, so that narrows the options down to A or B.

Directrix (directrix):

But, on option A, when I added the first equation of system A to twice the the second equation of system A, I did not get the first equation of system B. On option B, I did get what was described. So, I assume B is the correct option This is, in my opinion, a strange question. @ImpossiblePossibility
