OpenStudy (czarluc):

sec(x)+tan(x)=0 why does it have no solution?

OpenStudy (kainui):

Because you can't divide by zero.

OpenStudy (czarluc):

what divide to zero?

OpenStudy (czarluc):

clarify? @Kainui

OpenStudy (kainui):

What answer do you think is correct?

OpenStudy (czarluc):

uhm, they just say it has no solution Is it because you divide 0 by cos (X)?

OpenStudy (kainui):

So if you convert it to sines and cosines and solve it you will get x= 3pi/2. But cos(3pi/2)=0 so it won't work.

OpenStudy (czarluc):

oh so that is why it doesn't have a solution?
