In a certain town the temperature, x in degrees Celsius on a certain day is described by two statements: If 3 times the temperature is increased by 2, the temperature is still less than 14°C. Twice the temperature minus 7 is greater than -11°C. Part A: Create a compound inequality to represent the temperature range. (3 points) Part B: Can the temperature in this town be 5°C? Justify your answer by solving the inequalities in Part A. (3 points) Part C: The average temperature in another town is 3°C, but the actual temperature is within 4°C of the average. Write and solve an ine

3x+2<14 2x-7>-11 can you proceed further?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@surjithayer im not good at math at all, i just need it all done by today because if i dont i fail

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x+2< 14 subtract 2 from each 3x+2-2<14-2 3x<12 divide by 3 x<4 again 2x-7>-11 adding 7 to both sides 2 x-7+7 >-11+7 2x >-4 x>-2 or -2<x<4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the answers for A,B,and C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for A the equations for B you can conclude from my final answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let x be the temperature ,then 3-4<x<3+4 -1<x<7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand
