OpenStudy (anonymous):

In an oil spill, why does the oil not mix with the sea water? Lipids are hydrophobic. Lipids are hydrophilic. Lipids are saturated. Lipids are unsaturated.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i believe the answer is B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my reasoning is lipids and hydrophilic are both sacred of water so will not mix. that's all i got hope it helps.

OpenStudy (nerdgirl6):

Apologies but hydrophilic means "water loving" not water fearing. @redred123 was correct in his analysis, he just chose the wrong hydro. The answer therefore is A.
