what is the oblique asymptote of the function f(x) = x^2-5x+6/x+4

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

use long division..... the asymptote is the quotient ignoring the remainder

I tried and I don't get it. The answer I got wasn't right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got y = x+9

OpenStudy (dumbcow):
