OpenStudy (aum):

Let the original price per kg of sugar be Rs. x. Reduction of 10% in the price of sugar implies that 1 kg costs 0.9x rupees. For Rs. 279 you can buy 279/(0.9x) kgs of sugar at the reduced price and 279/x kgs at the original price. The difference 279/(0.9x) - 279/x = 6.2 solve for x.

OpenStudy (aum):

Hint: Multiply throughout by x. Then divide by 6.2 to solve for x.

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

its coming 5 /kg thnks very much

OpenStudy (aum):

Correct. Rs. 5 / kg
