Question

It takes Richard 2 hours to prepare a baseball field, it take Larry 6 hours to prepare the same baseball field, if the two worked together how long would it take the.
This is what I have gotten so far, after this I get lost:
x/2+x/6=1
Here is how I am trying to work it:
3(x/2)+x/6=1(3)
3x/6+x/6=3
4x/6=3

Then I get completely lost after that and I think I started it wrong...
